Pray (The Special Needs song) (c) Kate Thompson 2008
She seemed so little so frail so weak
I stroke her hair while I watch her sleep
Here in the midnight hour I wait
Hopin they tell me that she's OK
Her breaths are coming so shallow so sharp
The fear of losing her tears at my heart
But I know worryin never changed anything
So I pray as I watch her sleeping
And God's eyes are on her today
Around her the angels are standing
But just right now there's only one thing to say
So I pray as I watch her sleeping
Four a.m. and I'm tired and worn
The TV's blank and the room is cold
At last her breathing is easy now
I hope to get to sleep somehow
She's so fragile and yet so strong
I wrap her in my arms so she can feel my love
And God knows worryin never changed anything
So I pray as I watch her sleeping
And God's eyes are on her today
Around her the angels are standing
But just right now there's only one thing to say
So I pray as I watch her sleeping
I know that in these times there's nothing I can do
But still I thank you Lord I'm trusting her to you
And God's eyes are on her today
Around her the angels are standing
But just right now there's only one thing to say
So I pray as I watch her sleeping
