New York City faded away
On that November afternoon
I gazed into the eyes
Of a liitle boy born too soon
HIs sister lay in the NICU
Cos their Mom was addicted to crack
But that was a familiar story
That flooded back from the past
And here I go again
On that giddy merry-go-round
In a world of grief and pain
Hope lies in my hands
But God knows what is right
And He carries out His plan
As He orchestrates their little lives
Here I go again
And the momma wants her babies
Even though she is in jail
This is not her first mistake
Or the last of her tall tales
She wanted one last chance
She was gonna quit this time
But we both knew that was not for sure
She had trouble walking the line
And I wish that she could be
Everything the Father has
But I know that she can't see
The life that she could really have
But a little girl and a little boy
Came home to their sisters today
And a family knew the joy
Of the Father making a way
Caust God knows what is right
And He carries out His plan
